This team is knowledgeable about CityLink services and processes and engage all people entering the center, creating an inviting and professional environment. This team serves as the face of CityLink. Your kind smile, hospitable demeanor, and ability to multi-task with many interruptions without becoming flustered lay the groundwork for welcoming everyone who walk through our doors.

Workforce Development
The Workforce Development Team helps clients prepare for employment by assisting with job search, resume development, the electronic application process, and mock interviews. Your support can make a big difference; these roles provide distinct opportunities to encourage and instill confidence in the lives of our clients.

Available Serving Times
There are several 2-hour shifts that fall M-F, between 9 am - 3 pm.

Automotive Team
The Automotive Team serves in ChangingGears by cleaning and repairing donated cars. These cars are used for parts, sold for funds, or sold to clients when they are purchase-ready. Through private transportation, clients can better access resources that allow them to achieve self-sufficiency.
Repair Team - Experience Required
Volunteers on the Repair Team are contacted about current projects in the garage. If they choose to accept a project, they are expected to take ownership of it and help see it through completion with little supervision. As a result, volunteers on the Repair Team should be at a B-Tech skill level, feeling comfortable working on brake lines, suspension work, and basic repairs.

Detailing
The Detailing Team washes and details donated vehicles to prepare them for sale. No prior experience is required.

Available Serving Times - Detailing
  • Tuesday & Thursday 9 am - 1 pm
  • Wednesday 6:30 pm - 9 pm
  • Saturday 9 am - 11:30 am

I love the mission and seeing ChangingGears get cars to the right people. The skills I've learned volunteering in the garage are really useful! I hope to take what I've learned here and use it on some of my own cars at home.
